I love lazy, cool days. Days with no agendas. No deadlines. Playing games just because. Sitting on the porch watching the clouds go by. Going to the local coffee shop to enjoy a yummy lunch just because. Taking a walk thru the park just for the fun of it. Seeing a neighbor out and sharing an impromptu conversation.
Yep. Today was one of those kinda days. The weather was cool in the morning. Cool enough to wear jeans, not shorts. Sunny enough to sit in the sunshine to warm up a bit. The afternoon sun was hot enough to send ya back to the shade of the cottonwood tree dancing in the wind. The setting sun was cool enough to get back in it to warm up. Super low humidity. Super blue skies. Puffy, fat clouds dancing over the mountains. It would be pretty easy to get used to this!
I'm thankful for these kinda days. Thankful for my family, my friends, nature. But most of all, thankful for my Jesus blessing me with it all!!
Tomorrow we are heading back up to ABQ to spend the day with Uncle Scott and Aunt Amy. (My brother and his amazing Amy!) Among other things, we're going up to Sandia Crest.
